- rudder pedals. Plug the gamecard connector on your rudder
- pedals into the gameport connector on your computer.
-
- If you have the F-22 flight stick and either a WCS Mark II or TQS
- throttle, but no rudder pedals:
-
- a. Plug the F-22's 15-pin connector into the gameport connector
- on your WCS Mark II or TQS throttle.
-
- b. Plug the gamecard connector on your WCS or TQS to the
- gameport connector on your computer's gamecard.
-
- If you have the F-22 flight stick and either a WCS Mark II or TQS
- throttle, and rudder pedals:
-
- a. Plug the F-22's 15-pin connector into the y-connector on
- your rudder pedals. Plug the game card connector on your
- rudder pedals into the gameport connector on your WCS MK II
- or TQS.
-
- b. Plug the gamecard connector on your WCS or TQS to the
- gameport connector on your computer's gamecard.
-
- 6) If you have a TQS and a mouse:
-
- a. Connect the mouse directly to your TQS throttle controller and then
- connect the mouse extension cable from your TQS to the serial port
- connector on your computer.
-
- 7) Turn your computer "On".

-
- .TOPIC:
- Game Program Files
-
- Q: What is a game program file?
- A game program file is a set of instructions that "tells" the F-22
- how to work with a particular game. A program file in its most basic
- form instructs F-22 buttons to type keyboard commands to a game.
-
- Q: Why are so many game program files needed?
- The keyboard commands used in one game typically differ from the
- commands used in another game (example: typing an 'm' in one game
- probably will not produce the same action as typing 'm' in another game).
- A large library of pre-configured program files has been provided for use
- with the most popular simulations.
-
- Q: What do I need to do to get game program files into my F-22?
- You just need to download the program file through the F-22 Commander.
- Either double-click on the game's name in the main menu (this does
- both the download and runs the game), or press F5 and select the
- game's name (download only).
-
- .TOPIC:
- Assigning Game Commands to the F-22
-
- Keyboard-based game commands can be assigned to the F-22 through
- program files.
-
- Pre-configured game program files
- ---------------------------------
- Program files for popular game titles are supplied with your F-22.
- You just need to send the desired program file to the F-22 by
- double-clicking on the title in the menu (download and run the game), or
- by pressing F5 to select a program file for downloading only. Updates
- for new titles are made available through ThrustMaster's web site
- (http://www.thrustmaster.com) and other on-line services.
-
- Making your own program files
- -----------------------------
- Program files can be created and edited with the Command & Control
- Center editor supplied with the F-22.
-
- .TOPIC:
- Calibration
-
- If you notice unusual operation of the F-22 or your throttle controller
- or rudder pedals, you should try recalibration to correct the problem.
-
- Change to the directory that has the F-22. Type in "F22CAL" and then
- press ENTER. Read and follow the directions as they are displayed. When
- the calibration is completed, test the F-22 or other device in the game
- or under the TMScope utility.
